I'm not old enough to have a sophomore

Today was the weirdest first day of school ever. I still can't understand what happened to summer vacation. I feel rather like I fell asleep and 6 weeks passed without my knowing! (which I KNOW can't be true because I am about to konk out in this very chair....no well rested person here!) There was no build-up, no excitement, virtually no school shopping (not that I'm complaining!) It felt like my kids were off swimming at the pool or something. Maybe I am just in denial because I have one of these:

A real, honest to goodness SOPHOMORE!!

And also one of these:

And don't forget a genuine this:

An offspring in every school. How weird. I'm not ready for school to be starting. It's too much work.

On the bright side, I still have a couple of these at home:

(Any opportunity to sneak in a cute Connor picture)

Wow, I can not believe you have three kids in three different schools, keeping up with that sounds totally exhausting! I do know how you love to play with the babies though, so, enjoy that because you will blink and they will all be walking out the door :(

WOW I can't believe that your kids are so big now! I remember them running around Leslie's house just up from the high school. Good luck keeping up with all those kids. I'm looking forward to our school starting! I think I'll take the younger ones out to breakfast that day! Take Care

Tammy,
You know I have to view your blog to get a good Firefly fix. I can't wait to post Craig's first senior day picture laying on the couch in his pajamas. He might have senioritis.
Love Lisa

Yeah, I'm thinking that having a sophomore is a good way to put you into denial. I told my mom that I'm not getting older, just my kids are. She said it is true-- when they grow up, leave home, and get married, they really feel like they are your same age. So, just because you have a sophomore, doesn't mean you are getting old!

And you know... if you don't take into consideration Sidney's eyes, she is looking more and more like you every day. (And, no-- that isn't a courtesy comment!) ;-)
