Thanks to a rainstorm and a few cooler days, I have been visiting my garden less frequently. I went out today to water and found this:
I don't even know what to do with this behemoth. Is it even edible? And before anyone suggests that I grate it up and freeze it, let me tell you--it will NEVER get used. I don't even think I should make a luscious chocolate-zucchini cake. I don't agree with guilt-cooking. One should never be forced to create nummy goodies to assuage some miss-begotten notion that they should actually be using the produce they produce. I think what I really like is watching it all grow. When It comes time to "put up" veggies, I tend to pretend I don't actually have a garden. So sue me.

Don't you just LOVE it when you turn your back and things happen without you even having to do anything? It's like someone leaving a gift on your doorstep. This time of the year is awesome!
I wish I could bake/cook guilt-free!
I'm with you. I like watching stuff grow, and eating it while it is still fresh. And, I am of the opinion that the smaller and more tender the vegetable, the tastier. I don't think I would eat it.
Oh, I want to send you me address, but I don't have an email address for you. My email is haleyhhale@gmail.com
Hey, what variety of zucchini did you grow? I've never seen ones that grow with dollar bills on the side! Excellent!
Ha ha Shauna!! That is my little secret!!
